Willie Bester is a greatly respected and renowned South African “Resistance” artist who grew up in the harsh apartheid climate, yet managed to produce a remarkable wide variety of works.

He primarily incorporates recycled materials into his paintings, assemblages and sculptures, usually commenting on political injustices and human rights issues of the day.

Willie has won numerous awards and prizes locally and internationally and his work forms part of various public, private and corporate collections from all over the world.

In 2016 Willie Bester showcased his work in Artb and the solo exhibition enjoyed huge interest from the public and students. A few of his works are still on display in the vestibule today.

Theo Kleynhans is a playwright, sculptor, ceramist, curator and author. He was the Curator for the Visual Arts for the Aardklop National Arts festival in Potchefstroom and also curated the ABSA KKNK (Klein Karoo Arts Festival) as well as the Woordfees in Stellenbosch.

He works mainly in earthenware, gouache & ink, conté, acrylic and print media and his work is represented in numerous private and public collections both locally and overseas.

Theo Kleynhans has received the Dreams award, the Plascon painting prize, the SA Breweries sculpture award and has been a finalist in the ABSA Atelier Awards, the Momentum Life Awards and the APSA Ceramic Awards.

Ellené Louw obtained M.A. Fine Arts, Cum Laude from University of Stellenbosch. Since 1988 she has taught high school art and served as HoD at the Tygerberg Art Centre in Parow.
