Hennie Meyer – is a multi award winning South African ceramicist working in Cape Town. His work can be found in numerous private and public collections such as the SA Cultural History Museum, King Georgr V Gallery, durbanville Clay Museum and the Corobrik collection. He works in fired earthernware using glaze, slips, underglaze and lustres creating a series of T-pots and jugs. These pouring vessels, even though glazed, are not intended as functional pieces. He strives, in his work, to combine humour and aesthetics to create individual, composite works.
During 2002 his work is to be featured in a local publication on craft and art to be published by Struik books as well as an international Lark book publication “500 Teapots”.
