It refers to the utterance of unintelligible, speech-like syllables. Since its beginnings in 2016 in Woodstock as a pop-up gallery and showroom for art, furniture, books and collectables, Glossolalia has embraced this metaphor as a way of understanding contemporary art. 

Contemporary art often feels like a language we do not fully understand, at times angelic and sublime, moving and inspiring us, and at other times grotesque and unsettling, shaking us awake from the comfort of familiarity.

Glossolalia will be available in the gallery until the end of February, but will be available online until the end of April.
